Aloha and Welcome!  Kick off your slippers, grab a Mai Tai, sit back and imagine the sound of ocean waves lapping the sand on a beach of Maui Hawaii.  I’d like to take you on a whimsical artistic journey into the wide eyed world I imagine.  I’m Jonerz. A Pop Surreal artist living on Maui’s south shore. Living on the islands for more than 27 years laves its mark on you and it certainly has on my artwork.  Incorporating a love for the exaggerated big eyes of children and the curiosity they possess along with the surfing art culture of Hawaii and an influence of street art and graffiti, you’ll notice my art takes on a style that is different from what you may expect.  Filled with emotion, meaning, and story, each piece speaks to the each observer or art collector in a uniquely personal way.  Most of my original pieces are art on wood panels.  I utilize acrylic painting and pigment inks on my smaller works and but when my work goes large Ive used anything from heavy bodied acrylic and big paint knives on giant canvases to a massive mural over 100 feet long using house paint and spray paint.  I entreat you to relax, pull up a beach chair and enjoy my art.
